WHO IS MARTY?

MY HISTORY

Ever since I was young I was very, very skinny and had lots of people commenting on it and making me very self conscious and causing me to suffer the stigma of being too ‘skinny’. During high school I started trying to work out to put on some muscle. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t seem to put on any weight and continued to struggle with my image. My main struggle to put on weight was not having any idea how to work out. I was doing thousands of sit-ups and bicep curls every time I was in the gym and wondering why I couldn’t put on any muscle. It wasn’t until after I left school, got a job and could afford to start sessions with a trainer did I realise that I didn’t know the first thing about working out. This made such a difference and the results were almost immediate. Having finally achieved my weight goal ignited my passion with fitness and I finally had the confidence to be myself and was comfortable in my own skin.

MY MISSION

I always wished that someone had just told me “these are the steps for how to workout properly” and I know that lots of other people want the same. That’s why it has now become my mission as a trainer myself, to not only help my clients achieve their goals, but educate them as to how they can do it by themselves when they are ready.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Personal Trainers and Health and Fitness professionals are here to educate and empower not simply take you for all you’re worth. They often hold all of the so called ‘secrets’ to the perfect body that you always hear about. There are no secrets to working out, only good science and biology. It is my belief that this information shouldn’t be used as a way to further trainers’ monetary endeavours, but rather be given away freely so that people don’t feel lost and helpless if they do have the courage to try and achieve their goals alone.
